you can’t run from love.

take it away newlyweds!
lian + mark’s absolutely epic celebration marked the end of another year of fantastic weddings and surpassed all my expectations as the perfect grande finale for 2009! fabulous and exciting, the day was filled with so much love + energy for this incredible couple. guests from around the world honored the union of lian + mark filled with great anticipation and elation.
the day was a fabulous mix of chinese, filipino, and catholic traditions, as well as modern twists that made it perfectly unique! lian is my first bride to ever have FOUR pairs of shoes on her wedding day – one pair for her wedding gown, gold flats for her red + gold chinese gown, black chuck taylors to match mark + the bridal party at the reception, and sassy red cowboy boots to represent her texas roots – yee haw! in fact, the entire day was full of fun details, like lian’s redskins garter and mark’s turntable grooms cake (he’s an awesome DJ!) and of course the entire casino-themed reception!
from the gorgeous catholic mass to the intriguing chinese tea ceremony to the wild filipino money dance and the dance floor/photobooth antics – it was truly an epic wedding. i was so thrilled to have the one and only jessi ringer shooting with me and we had the time of our lives documenting it all! lian + mark rocked our world and totally sent 2009 out with a bang!
looking back on the day, there were so many amazing moments and so much happened that it felt like a whirlwind of happiness, and i still feel like i am reeling from the experience. as always, it was an honor to be a part of such a wonderful celebration and i feel so lucky to have gained two amazing new friends in lian + mark. they are both crazy fun, have huge hearts, and make an outstanding couple. i absolutely love them and couldn’t be happier or more excited for their life together!
CONGRATS to lian + mark and CHEERS to 2009!
